Teller (Part-Time)

About the role
As a Teller, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming experience for members while providing accurate financial transactions and personalized solutions. This part-time position is based at our Kewanee, Illinois location, with occasional regional travel to assist other branch locations.
Responsibilities
- Actively listen to members' needs to identify, assess, and educate on solutions, including products and services such as deposit accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Process a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding account operations, service access, resolving discrepancies, balancing, reconciling, and optimizing service usage.
- Follow all cash handling, dual control, and daily work documentation procedures, including balancing the cash drawer daily.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in customer support, problem-solving, and providing quality service is preferred.
- High level of integrity and commitment to exceptional member service with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to build rapport quickly, actively listen, and develop strong member relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Team-oriented with flexibility to adapt and support various member needs in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, including long distances or between work sites.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word, including conveying detailed instructions accurately.
- Hearing: Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels and receiving detailed oral communication.
- Finger/Handle/Touch: Working primarily with fingers for tasks like typing, pinching, or applying pressure.
- Lifting Demands: Up to 50 lbs.
- Visual Demands: Visual acuity for tasks such as preparing data, transcribing, computer work, reading, inspection, and measurement.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.00–$16.00/hour. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.
