Responsibilities
The Managing Editor/Anchor is responsible for the editorial content of daily newscasts and digital platforms. Key duties include:
- Approving scripts and writing stories, headlines, teases and news updates in a professional, engaging style using fair and accurate language.
- Developing original story ideas, enterprise reporting, and creative storytelling.
- Anchoring newscasts and contributing to digital content.
- Representing the station at community and station events.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of on-air experience in Spanish language newsroom, preferably with management duties.
- Commitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracy.
- Exceptional written communications skills on digital, social media and broadcast.
- Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation.
