Telemetry Technician - Part Time Night + Rotating Weekends & Holidays

Location: Flushing, New York. Shift: Night (United States of America).

Telemetry Technician - Med Surg/Tele - Part Time Night at NewYork-Presbyterian. Monitor one of the most vital measurements of life, health and success for our patients: their heartbeat. Be the eyes and ears of your colleagues by observing electrocardiogram (EKG) patterns. Note the patient's rhythm and alert nurses and physicians of changes or arrhythmic behavior. Make it possible for patients in the most sensitive of conditions by making excellence a personal matter.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Nursing leaders to closely monitor EKG patterns of select patients placed on telemetry monitoring.
• Visualize the patient's EKG rhythm relative to predetermined parameters using high‑tech equipment.
• Document cardiac activity, observe arrhythmia and inform the appropriate nurse or physician of changes.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• BLS from American Heart Association
• EKG/Arrhythmia Certification
• Completed EKG/Arrhythmia Certification Program
• Working knowledge of procedures and practices of telemetry, supplies/equipment and aseptic techniques gained through the above‑mentioned EKG/Arrhythmia training.

Pay

Salary Range: $31.96‑$34.22 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑Time Night: 22.5 hours weekly (3 shifts weekly), 11 PM – 7 AM. Rotating weekends and holidays.
