About the Role

Functions as a clerk/receptionist for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Assists with patient care and acts as a cardiac monitor technician. Encompasses a range of technical and supportive functions including communication, problem solving, and prioritizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerk/receptionist duties for the ICU
• Assist with patient care
• Act as a cardiac monitor technician
• Interpret basic cardiac rhythms
• Utilize communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (or demonstrated ability to acquire needed skills)
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required upon hire
• Basic arrhythmia class required within 6 months of hire
• Computer skills preferred

Orientation is based on current knowledge base and past experience. Additional education/training in related fields is considered on an individual basis.
