Telemetry Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Telemetry Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise observability platforms that provide actionable insights through metrics, logs, traces, and alerting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern observability tools, SRE practices, and monitoring solutions for large-scale cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise observability platforms
• Provide actionable insights through metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Work with SRE practices and monitoring solutions for large-scale cloud environments
• Experience with modern observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability
• Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management

Qualifications

• Experience with Thanos, Mimir, Cortex, Loki, or Tempo
• Familiarity with eBPF-based observability tools
• Experience with observability cost optimization
• Contributions to OpenTelemetry or other observability open-source projects
• Experience supporting regulated environments
