Key Responsibilities
- Conduct synchronous nutrition counseling sessions with patients (60min initial and 30min followup) to support their individual medication assisted weight loss journeys.
- Proactively manage common GLP-1 and AOMs side effects (nausea, constipation, reflux, reduced appetite, risk of lean-mass loss) through personalized nutrition strategies that preserve muscle mass, support adequate protein and fiber intake, and enable sustainable weight loss.
- Apply evidence-based behavior change techniques (motivational interviewing, SMART goal-setting, CBT-informed coaching) to build self-efficacy and long-term lifestyle change.
- Adapt care plans in response to changes in medication or dosing, insurance coverage, weight-loss plateaus, or evolving patient goals, in partnership with the prescribing clinician.
- Followup with patients via asynchronous messaging to address questions.
- Career with Found clinicians, and member support team leveraging Found’s internal EMR provider messaging function.
- Serve patients with high standards of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
- Complete session documentation (including ADIME notes, patient communication, and care team follow-up messages) in a timely manner for processing and reporting.
- Leverage Found’s technology platform to keep patients engaged in their care journey between sessions.
- Stay up to date on current nutrition topics.
Qualifications
- RD/RDN credentialed with the CDR (active and in good standing)
- Licensed in multiple states, including some combination of: NY, IN, CA, PA, NC, GA, TX, SC, MD, OH, CT, MA, HI, SD or MT. Candidates with licensure in additional states are welcome to apply. Active NPI required.
- At least 2 years of independent practice experience, preferably in obesity medicine, cardiometabolic disease, or medication-assisted weight loss
- Previous telemedicine experience
- Strong and empathetic oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt and remain agile, while helping to improve our ability to deliver care
- Obesity medicine experience and/or certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM) through CDR, or equivalent obesity medicine credentialing
- Direct experience supporting patients on GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g., semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide) or other anti-obesity medications (AOMs), including nutrition strategies to preserve lean mass and manage GI side effects
- Training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral techniques, or the Transtheoretical Model of Change
- Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, or a related clinical field
- Bilingual English/Spanish (or other additional languages)
