Telehandler Forklift Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate telehandlers and forklifts.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials and equipment.
• Transport pallets, bins, products, and other items to designated locations.
• Cook clearly by radio, cell phone, and hand signals when working around others.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and promptly report any safety or mechanical issues.
• Keep traffic lanes, storage areas, and work zones clear, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Absorb other operational tasks when equipment is not in use.
• Perform other related duties based on daily business and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid telehandler and/or forklift certification required.
• At least two years of experience operating a telehandler, forklift, or both in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Ability and willingness to operate both types of equipment based on operational needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate clearly and respectfully with others.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and self-motivated.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work as needed.

Position Type and Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Start time: 6:00 a.m.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
• Saturday work may be required based on operational needs.

Pay And Other Compensation

• Pay range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
• The actual starting rate will be based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, certifications, and skills.
• This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state law.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• This position is performed primarily outdoors in an active manufacturing environment.
• The employee may be exposed to changing weather conditions, moving vehicles and equipment, noise, dust, and uneven surfaces.
• The position requires the ability to remain alert, safely enter and exit equipment, and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
