Telecommunications Specialist TS/SCI

Purpose and Impact

Amentum is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team in Glendale, AZ. The role involves maintaining and supporting customer facilities' telecommunications systems to ensure they are fully functional and available for senior leader's decision support teams. The position requires an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance within the last 5 years or designated CE, along with the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance, and testing of operational mission capabilities under varying conditions.
• Maintain, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and restore communications systems and services.
• Coordinate availability, performance, and restoration efforts with third-party services providers as required.
• Apply knowledge, training, and expertise to determine appropriate operational course of action and best solutions.
• Manage dynamic taskings and prioritize workload to meet customer expectations and demand levels under changing conditions.
• Identify and recommend process improvements, efficiency gains, and innovative approaches to operations and service delivery.
• Support the design, planning, and testing of new systems to meet customer needs; ensure new systems are properly installed and brought on-line for operational use; coordinate installation team efforts to ensure schedules are met and activities are not disruptive to ongoing operations.
• Ensure proper configuration and change management control are applied and system documentation is current.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance within the last 5 years or designated CE, with the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
• Five (5) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Install horizontal and vertical network and telecommunications infrastructures per industry standards.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting network systems, communications circuits, and network and telecommunications equipment.
• Experience making, running, testing cables, performing loopbacks, installing equipment.
• Experience using VTC equipment.

Security Clearance Required

This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance that has been adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE, and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Minimum Education

A BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Project Management, or related discipline is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Five (5) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four (4) years of college in a related technical discipline plus Ten (10) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CompTIA IT Security+ Certification must be obtained within 6 months.

Compensation Details

The compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
