  • Serve as senior advisor to management staff of the command and region, managing the command’s configuration management program in accordance with the Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
  • Evaluate programs and projects, establish baselines, and track, control, and manage all assets (equipment, virtual processors, and software) associated within the framework of system installations.
  • Responsible for providing justification for commercial contracts to provide the range of IT, Communications Electronics (CE), and Base Communications (BC) services.
  • Serve as the command’s senior advisor on CE systems in the Pacific Region.
  • Provide advice to key management personnel across the region on new and proposed CE programs to be undertaken for the Navy-wide telecommunications community.
  • Compile systems information down to the lowest accountable equipment level and produce end-of-life for hardware/firmware/software, and expiration of maintenance contracts from across the NCTAMS Pacific region.

Requirements

  • You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing, analyzing and resolving the difference and similarities of Communication Electronics (CE) systems installations.
  • Experience analyzing, planning, designing, and developing installation of large-scale integrated communications systems.
  • Experience utilizing computers with office, database, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Experience evaluating alternative approaches for satisfying CE data collection requirements.
