Telecommunications Project Lead

About the role

Primary Talent Partners has a 6‑month contract (with possible extensions) for a Telecommunications Project Lead at an engineering company in Portland, OR. The role is a W2 position; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to work on Primary Talent Partners’ W2 without sponsorship. Pay ranges from $39.00 to $88.00 per hour, with no PTO or standard benefits, though an ACA‑compliant supplemental package is available for enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary assessments and concept creation
• Lead designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers
• Handle internal and external problem resolution
• Produce drawings and specifications
• Ensure customer and vendor accessibility
• Manage several concurrent projects to ensure on‑time completion
• Provide technical design leadership for data center building systems (structured cabling, wireless, audio‑visual, other low voltage)
• Lead BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications
• Conduct site visits
• Review technical documents
• Learn from senior team leaders and receive mentorship
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Respond to RFIs, submittals, and substitution requests
