Responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce the company's safety program.
- Ensure daily job site safety plans are reviewed and followed.
- Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
- Assist Crew Foreman to ensure quality service to clients.
- Recognize and perform duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies.
- Work effectively both individually and with other crew members.
- Handle transportation of equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Travel up to 100%
Qualifications
- Successful completion and passing score of all mandatory company certifications are required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a tower climber is required.
- Ability to climb, at least, a 250' telecommunications tower required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required.
- Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue is required.
- Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information required.
- Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions for long periods of time required.
- Anritsu Certification preferred.
- PIM Certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
- NWSA Certification preferred.
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred (Ability to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines).
- Willingness to take on and learn new tasks, as needed.
- Military communications, electronics troubleshooting, fiber optics or other related construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays, and evening hours.
- Capable of crouching, kneeling, twisting, reaching, grasping and climbing with both hands and legs on a daily basis is required.
- Availability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours required.
- Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required.
- Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft experience preferred.
