Telecom Tower Technician III

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce the company's safety program.
• Ensure daily job site safety plans are reviewed and followed.
• Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
• Assist Crew Foreman to ensure quality service to clients.
• Recognize and perform duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies.
• Work effectively both individually and with other crew members.
• Handle transportation of equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Travel up to 100%

Qualifications

• Successful completion and passing score of all mandatory company certifications are required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a tower climber is required.
• Ability to climb, at least, a 250' telecommunications tower required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required.
• Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue is required.
• Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information required.
• Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions for long periods of time required.
• Anritsu Certification preferred.
• PIM Certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• NWSA Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred (Ability to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines).
• Willingness to take on and learn new tasks, as needed.
• Military communications, electronics troubleshooting, fiber optics or other related construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays, and evening hours.
• Capable of crouching, kneeling, twisting, reaching, grasping and climbing with both hands and legs on a daily basis is required.
• Availability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours required.
• Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required.
• Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft experience preferred.
