About the role
Performs routine network architecture assignments under general direction. Assists with planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing network systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer fiber optic outside plant telecommunications networks.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess potential locations for fiber optic cable deployment.
- Prepare detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects.
- Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for outside plant issues.
- Maintain accurate records of network assets and infrastructure changes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study, or Associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience, or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required.
- Experience: No additional experience, other than what is listed above, is required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License is Required.

- Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.
- Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
- Exhibit fundamental understanding for pertinent telecom equipment, materials, systems and business processes.

- Telecom Consultant Associate SG6: $74,551 - $93,189
- Telecom Consultant SG7: $87,633 - $109,544
Schedule
This role sits on site in Corpus, Christ, Texas. Occasional travel may be required.
