Telecom Construction Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for telecom construction projects, including new cell tower builds, modifications, and upgrades
• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing models
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and ensure alignment
• Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating tools
• Support proposal development and bid submission processes
• Track awarded vs. estimated costs to improve future accuracy

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in one or more of the following: Telecom construction (cell towers, wireless infrastructure) preferred, Fiber network construction (aerial, underground, directional boring), General construction or civil projects, Concrete or site development
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor productivity
• Experience estimating cell tower builds, including foundations, steel erection, and equipment installation
• Familiarity with telecom industry standards and permitting requirements
• Experience working with subcontractors and managing bid packages
