TEGNA Executive Producer
About the role
The TEGNA Executive Producer supports day-to-day editorial operations, content coordination and newsroom collaboration across all of TEGNA. This corporate role works closely with local stations, newsroom leaders, streaming teams and the corporate team to support breaking news coverage, content sharing, training initiatives and operational execution across broadcast, digital and streaming platforms.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate companywide breaking news coverage and content sharing between stations and centralized teams
- Support stations during major weather and breaking news events by coordinating communication, live coverage resources and shared content workflows
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams, external partners and newsroom stakeholders during major coverage events
- Cook up logistics for traveling crews, shared resources and enterprise coverage initiatives
- Aid in production and distribution of weather explainers, training materials and editorial presentations
- Organize and support newsroom training sessions, leadership programs and virtual workshops
- Maintain internal communication systems, Teams channels, SharePoint resources and newsroom documentation
- Monitor contribution feeds and identify stories, video and coverage opportunities suitable for broader distribution

- Support rollout and adoption of newsroom systems, workflows and operational tools
- Aid in companywide communications tied to editorial initiatives, training and newsroom operations
- Coordinate content requests, permissions and licensing workflows with outside vendors and partners
- Create and support special projects, presentations, conferences and cross-functional newsroom initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in broadcast news, digital news, streaming or newsroom operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced news environment
- Experience coordinating coverage, projects or newsroom workflows across multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with newsroom systems, collaboration tools and content workflows
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work flexible hours during major breaking news or severe weather coverage
- Experience with broadcast, streaming and digital news operations preferred
Pay Range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
