About the Role

This role intentionally seeks out and disciples MAF Forge Harbour Third Culture Kids (TCKs), providing resources and support for TCKs and their families. This will bring resiliency to MAF families as an essential part of the work of MAF so that the Gospel is proclaimed, and God's Kingdom is extended. The position requires an active commitment to the mission, values, and doctrinal stance of MAF. In the course of performing job duties, the employee will act in a manner that is Christ-honoring and Christ-like, demonstrating a personal Christian faith and witness in all interpersonal interactions.

Responsibilities

  • TCK Program Operations (30%)
    • Attend relevant conferences and training as needed.
    • Study relevant books, blogs, and resources.
    • Provide information on TCK re-entry seminars as appropriate.
    • Create and review content for presentations, field visits, conferences, etc.
    • Contribute to a TCK newsletter.
    • Contribute ideas about TCK vision and program direction.
  • Engagement with MAF TCKs (70%)
    • Conduct debriefs for MAF TCKs.
    • Work with TCK manager to coordinate teen debriefs.
    • Build relationships and correspond with TCKs based overseas and domestically.
    • Conduct field visits to build and maintain relationships with TCKs.
    • Available to run teen programs for family conferences and engage with parents on TCK topics.
    • Collaborate with the TCK team to coordinate and participate in events for the TCKs in Nampa.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with TCKs ages 11 and up.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by their manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry or other relevant degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 2 years working with youth in a leadership role required.
  • 2 years working with TCK youth preferred.
  • 2 years overseas experience preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Infrequent domestic travel for conferences/training.
  • Moderate international travel for field visits twice per year.
  • Valid Driver’s license required for driving TCKs to events and activities.
