About the role

The Hill Art Foundation’s Teen Curators program is a free, in-person initiative for high school juniors and seniors. Participants study with curators, art historians, contemporary artists, and museum educators in Chelsea, gaining insight into art history, exhibition-making, research practice, and career paths in curation, collections care, museum management, and education. The program culminates in a public presentation of participants’ curatorial ideas at the Foundation and on its website.

Stipend

$1,000, paid upon completion of the program.

Schedule

  • Duration: October 6, 2026–May 11, 2027
  • Weekly meetings: Tuesdays, 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Eligibility

  • Open to juniors and seniors in high school.

About The Hill Art Foundation

The Hill Art Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to amplifying artists’ voices, deepening connections between art and viewers, and exploring artistic movements through curated juxtapositions. The Foundation prioritizes education via programs for NYC teens and commissions original scholarship for its publications. Exhibitions drawn from its world-class collection are always free and open to the public.
