About the role

WSP Colombia is seeking a Forestry Technologist to support the execution and supervision of forestry activities associated with energy distribution systems, ensuring compliance with technical, environmental, and safety standards of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Review the forestry productivity file according to established parameters.
  • Compare reported quantities with information recorded in project-defined systems.
  • Request corrections when inconsistencies in reported information are identified.
  • Inspect fieldwork quality and quantities executed, verifying compliance with technical and regulatory criteria.
  • Identify, communicate, and follow up on non-conformities until closure.
  • Review, manage, and monitor work orders using project-defined tools.
  • Document inspection information, including photographic records and required supporting documents.
  • Manage the closure and progress of work orders according to established procedures.
  • Approve or reject the delivery of goods or services that do not meet technical or contractual specifications.

Requirements

  • Graduate as a Forestry Technologist, Agroforestry Technologist, Agronomist, Agro-environmental Technologist, or Agricultural Technologist, with a valid professional license.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience, counted from the issuance of the professional license, in activities related to forestry works and services in electrical distribution systems.
  • Valid administrative-level certification for working at heights.
  • Proficiency in office tools such as Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of integrated management systems.
  • Knowledge of regulations applicable to the contract’s purpose.
  • Own motorcycle and availability for travel.
