Qualifications
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience in automotive repair
- One or more ASE certifications (preferred)
- Tech training in automotive mechanics (desirable)
- Knowledge of brake, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
- Ability to perform intermediate level diagnostics
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physical activities required for the job
Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate level repairs and diagnostics, ensuring each vehicle is repaired to the highest standards of quality
- Execute oil changes, preventive maintenance, and other intermediate level mechanical repairs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional repairs that contribute to safety and reliability
- Accurately record completed jobs, parts used, and repair times in the company's system
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors to clearly explain each vehicle's repair needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Comply with operational procedures and safety policies
- Participate actively in ongoing technical training and development programs
