Technology Transactions Associate

About the role

The Technology Transactions Group seeks an associate with 4-6 solid years of experience to work in its cutting‑edge technology transactions practice.

Responsibilities

• Structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial, technology, and IP agreements (licensing and other commercial transactions).
• Serving as the IP specialist for M&A, venture capital, and other corporate transactions.
• Drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements, including license, development, distributor/reseller, customer/supplier, OEM, and manufacturing agreements.
• Managing associated transactions.
• Working with colleagues and teams across multiple offices.
• Handling and running several matters simultaneously.

Requirements

• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• Background or interest in technology.
• Experience working with emerging companies.
• Interest in software and open source software issues.
• Large law firm experience.

Pay

The salary range in San Francisco for this role is $310,000 – $390,000, representing the firm’s good‑faith minimum and maximum at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
