Technology Technician - Belleview Elementary School
Job Summary
The Technology Technician provides general technological support for school staff and students under the direction of a licensed staff member. Responsibilities include assisting with technology lab needs, monitoring students, and collaborating with the Help Desk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, monitor, and maintain the technology lab including equipment storage, distribution, setup, and repair. Install memory chips and network hardware.
Aid in class preparation and execution in the technology lab, supporting various projects and assignments.
Support printers, scanners, LCD displays, cameras, laser discs, mainframe session support, network support, software installation, and system security.
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance and/or repair on school computers. Coordinate computer repair requests with the Help Desk.
Maintain media equipment and the resource room, perform associated clerical tasks, prepare instructional materials, and work in small groups with students. Check books out and in.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Reporting Relationships
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
One (1) year of computer- and technology-related experience or licensed computer- and technology-related teaching experience
Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of media equipment
Intermediate English language skills
Intermediate oral and written communication skills

Work location is subject to change to meet the requirements of the organization
