Technology Teacher - SS. Faith, Hope and Charity - Winnetka

Saints Faith, Hope & Charity School, a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School, is a parochial Catholic grade school in Winnetka, Illinois, serving students from 3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. About the role

As a teacher in a Catholic school within the Archdiocese of Chicago, you serve as a representative of the Catholic Church, acting as both a role model and a communicator of the Church’s teachings. This is a ministerial position, directly accountable to the principal, and requires adherence to the educational policies of the Archdiocese and the local school. The role involves fostering an environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic education while supporting students’ academic success and character development.

Responsibilities

• Teach and act in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings.
• Serve as a role model for students’ religious formation and represent the Archbishop of Chicago and the Catholic Church.
• Know, teach, and act consistently with the school’s religious and educational mission, philosophy, objectives, and policies.
• Complete Catholic identity formation training and other required professional development from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
• Lead and/or participate in religious instruction, ceremonies, rituals, or other religious activities as directed by the principal.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the principal.
• Participate in professional development programs required by the Archdiocese or the local school/parish.
• Perform teaching duties as assigned by the principal.
• Attend required faculty and staff meetings.
• Cooperate with the principal and staff in school-related meetings, activities, and projects.
• Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
• Ensure a safe, orderly, and secure learning and working environment.
• Participate in the annual performance review process.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters.
• Positively represent the school/parish at events and in the public.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the principal essential to the position’s function.

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic (required for religion teachers, preferred for all others).
• Must meet compliance with safe environment requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred, not required).
• Completion of Catholic identity formation training.

Pay

This position offers a salary range of $38,527–$68,776 for lay employees and $35,686–$62,316 for others. Compensation within the range is determined by factors including education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
