About the role
Leveraging the company’s long history of innovation and increasing U.S.-based engineering, design, and production capabilities, this role will guide product and solution strategy in alignment with customer priorities and business growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop product and solution strategies aligned with U.S. federal customer requirements that complement the R&S technology portfolio.
- Engage customer stakeholders to understand, shape, and influence market, mission, and acquisition needs.
- Ensure product development and investment roadmaps reflect customer priorities, competitive differentiation, funding pathways, and procurement timelines.
- Assess emerging technologies for mission relevance, investment value, and integration into customer-focused solutions.
- Connect growth initiatives to demonstrations, pilots, prototypes, programs, contract vehicles, BAAs, OTAs, and other opportunity channels.
- Monitor budget, policy, mission, and procurement trends across relevant government agencies and translate those insights into actionable product, partnership, M&A, and growth recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in technical business development, product management, solution strategy, or technology strategy within the U.S. government market.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. government funding and acquisition mechanisms, especially within DoD, DHS, FAA, and related agencies.
- Expertise in one or more relevant technology domains, including secure comms, SIGINT, spectrum management, RF sensing, AI, software architecture and automation.
- Demonstrated success of taking early-stage product development and transitioning technology into funded programs or operational use.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work credibly across R&D, engineering, sales and business development, and executive leadership in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare strategic business cases, customer-facing materials, DoDAF-style models, technical white papers, and market analyses.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically, with occasional international travel.

Benefits
- The total compensation for this position is $179K-$230K.
- Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits.
- The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
- Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
