Responsibilities

  • Draft patent applications for innovative clients, including descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with patent office about pending patent applications.
  • Advise patent litigation teams based on your technical and scientific area of expertise.
  • Interview inventors about new ideas.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar and experience in Telecommunications and Cellular Communications standards.
  • You have 2+ years of patent prosecution experience (preferred).
  • You have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • You are registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark office (preferred).

Qualifications

  • You have a PhD in Chemistry or closely related field and small molecule and/or pharmaceutical experience.
  • You have 1-3 years of patent drafting and/or prosecution experience.
  • You have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • You are registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark office (preferred).

Skills

  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Superior writing skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Advanced degree in relevant field (preferred).
  • Experience in Telecommunications and Cellular Communications standards.
  • Experience in Patent Prosecution.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $185,000. The salary offered will depend upon individual qualifications and experience.
