Technology Specialist (Chemistry)

About the role

This position plays an integral part of our Intellectual Property practice, working on cutting-edge technologies with top-tier clients from day one.

Responsibilities

• Draft patent applications for innovative clients, including descriptions and figures.
• Correspond with patent office about pending patent applications.
• Advise patent litigation teams based on your technical and scientific area of expertise.
• Interview inventors about new ideas.

Requirements

• You have a PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field and small molecule and/or pharmaceutical experience.
• You have 1-3 years of patent drafting and/or prosecution experience.
• You have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• You are registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark office (preferred).

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $185,000. The salary offered will depend upon individual qualifications and experience.
