Technology Service Technician
About the role
We are seeking a service-oriented, independent individual with 5-10 years of experience to work exclusively with clients, troubleshooting and installing low-voltage systems. This position is with a leading industry contractor based in Utah, offering over 30 years of experience in the cabling industry.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot low-voltage systems independently.
- Manage service calls and small jobs.
- Use software such as Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Word, and scheduling tools.
- Align with the electrical schedule.
- Complete FOCUS/PTP forms, process change/work orders, and create and process purchase orders.
- Maintain excellent communication and leadership skills with customers and co-workers.
- Coordinate with customers to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Install and terminate all system cabling, including Cat5e-6A, Coax, AV, Security, and DAS systems.
- Dress and terminate communication closets and patch panels.
- Assist with uploading cable testing results to the project cloud.
- Understand methods of building closets and frames.
- Terminate all types of fiber optic cable.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings.
- Understand AV, DAS, SEC, Wi-Fi hardware, and cabling standards.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
- Act as a self-starter.
- Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in low-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of color codes for both fiber and copper cabling.
- Understanding of fire-stopping procedures and techniques.
- At least 4 manufacturer certifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license.

Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
