About the role
Hunt Electric, Inc. is currently hiring a Technology Service Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in low voltage installations and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Work independently to troubleshoot and install low voltage systems.
- Manage service calls and small jobs.
- Use Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Word, and scheduling software.
- Complete FOCUS/PTP forms, process change/work orders, and create/purchase orders.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, maintaining a positive attitude and leadership skills.
- Coordinate tasks with clients and complete them promptly.
- Install and terminate all types of system cabling, including fiber optic and copper.
- Terminate communication closets, patch panels, Cat5e-6A, Coax, AV, Security, and DAS systems.
- Auxiliary tasks may include assisting with cable testing results, uploading to project cloud, understanding construction blueprints, and adhering to AV, DAS, SEC, Wi-Fi hardware and cabling standards.
- Contribute positively to a team environment and demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
- Perform other duties or locations as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of color coding for fiber and copper.
- Understanding of fire stopping procedures and techniques.
- At least four manufacturer certifications.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the cabling industry preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Word, and scheduling software.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and drawings.
- Understanding of AV, DAS, SEC, Wi-Fi hardware and cabling standards.

Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
