Technology Lead – Azure Data Factory (ADF) / Azure Data Platform(Only w2)

About the role

Technology Lead for the Azure Data Platform, focused on Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks operations. This is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, requiring Day 1 onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead onshore Azure Data Platform Operations, ensuring platform stability, security, and compliance.
• Own P1/P2 incident management, problem management, and change coordination.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure Databricks jobs, ADF pipelines, and production failures.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to improve platform reliability.
• Manage SLA compliance, availability, and operational performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain Runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth production support and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Azure Data Platform Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks.
• Experience supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) environments.
• Strong expertise in Databricks Operations, including monitoring, job failures, and pipeline troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and production issue resolution.
• Strong experience managing SLA, MTTR, Availability, and operational support.
• Experience creating and maintaining Runbooks, SOPs, and Operational Documentation.
• Expertise in Operational Metrics, Reporting, Backlog & Queue Management.
• Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Healthcare domain experience.
• Relevant Azure or Databricks certifications.
