Technology Designer 1
About the role
We're looking for a Technology Designer 1 to join our team. This role involves producing construction documents using REVIT, AutoCAD, and other tools, evaluating and applying state-of-the-art low voltage technology systems, and assisting in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of senior designers to produce construction documents in REVIT, AutoCAD, and other production tools.
- Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology systems, techniques, procedures, designs and modifications.
- Understand technology infrastructure systems, including communications structured cabling, outside plant systems and fiber-optic systems.
- Understand medical technology systems design such as nurse call, patient EETV, physiological monitoring, EMS radio and distributed antenna systems.
- Aid in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Take on contract administration responsibilities requiring field inspections and conflict resolution.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification is helpful.
- Familiarity with Microsoft suite of programs.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam REVU.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, and keep a daily schedule of activities.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings.
- Strong desire for continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
