About the role

EY Technology Consulting is seeking a Manager to help Oil & Gas clients drive technology-enabled transformation by improving operational and finance outcomes through process, data, and platform modernization. This role focuses on Production Accounting Solutions such as Quorum Energy Components (EC) and ProCount.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Production Accounting workstreams within sector transformation engagements, with a focus on Quorum Energy Components and related platforms (e.g., IFS Merrick ProCount)
  • Provide expert guidance on Production Accounting processes and related solutions such as Energy Components and ProCount functionality, driving fit-to-standard decisions and translating business needs into clear, deliverable scope and acceptance criteria
  • Direct and govern analysis and optimization of Energy Components and related platforms (e.g., IFS Merrick ProCount) data structures and tables, establishing standards, ensuring consistency, and resolving data-driven defects and variances in coordination with technical and vendor teams
  • Lead and oversee integrations between Production Accounting Applications and upstream/downstream systems, including interface requirements, dependency planning, SIT/UAT coordination, defect triage, and cutover readiness
  • Lead data migration efforts from legacy production accounting systems (e.g., Enertia, ProCount, EnergySys), owning reconciliation strategies, control checkpoints, signoff gates, and stakeholder approvals to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Provide leadership on Prior Period Adjustments (PPA), including impact analysis, documentation, and stakeholder alignment on approach and remediation actions
  • Own the plan to outline, document, and test regulatory reporting and pressure compensation processes, ensuring traceability, evidence capture, compliance readiness, and issue resolution
  • Lead development and delivery of role-based training and enablement for business users, supporting go-live readiness and hypercare activities
  • Lead delivery governance, including milestones, dependencies, RAID management, quality reviews, and executive-level stakeholder communications, while maintaining delivery timelines and quality
  • Coach and review the work of consultants and senior consultants, removing blockers, motivating teams, and contributing to long-term client relationships and practice growth

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Oil & Gas Production Accounting / hydrocarbon accounting
  • Hands-on experience with Quorum Energy Components (EC), ProCount, or other commercial Production Accounting applications across implementation, optimization, or support engagements
  • End-to-end understanding of the hydrocarbon chain of custody, from wellhead through sales and reporting
  • Demonstrated leadership delivering complex transformation initiatives across requirements, build/config, test, deploy, and stabilization phases
  • Executive-ready communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, risks, and delivery trade-offs

Skills and Attributes

  • Progressive experience in consulting, industry, or a vendor environment leading delivery teams and client workstreams in Production Accounting modernization and/or Energy Components programs
  • Ideally, prior consulting experience serving Energy or Natural Resources clients
  • Experience leading integrations, data conversions, or regulatory reporting initiatives
  • Experience coaching teams and supporting delivery oversight

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience in a large multi-national organization

Pay

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,000 to $267,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
