Day to Day Job Duties
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following Android development best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
- Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and security.
- Implement modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Write unit tests and collaborate with QA teams to ensure application quality.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Android application development using Kotlin and Java.
- 4+ years of experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack Components.
- 3+ years of experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
- 3+ years of experience implementing MVVM architecture and modern Android application design patterns.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging).
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience developing secure enterprise mobile applications.
- Understanding of mobile DevSecOps practices and automated testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and consulting environments.
Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $91,000-$135,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
