Technologist-Radiology

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Selects and computes settings for each patient’s procedure/treatment.
• Develops and implements an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
• Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Specifications

• Experience: Minimum Required - Completion of a Radiology Technology Program. Preferred/Desired - ARRT(R) certification.
• Education: Minimum Required - Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Preferred/Desired - Associates degree in related field.
• Licenses: Minimum Required - ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduates who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire.
