About the role
This role involves operating radiology equipment to perform routine diagnostic procedures that support physician diagnoses and treatments.
Responsibilities
- Select appropriate technical settings for procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Ensure safety and compliance with hospital protocols
- Maintain equipment and work areas
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Accurately document procedures
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiology program
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligibility as a new graduate
Skills
- Thorough understanding of radiologic principles
- Proper technique and positioning
- Ability to follow instructions effectively
Licenses and Certifications
- ARRT(R) certification
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire
- State licensure if applicable
