About the Role
Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, utilizing the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by results.
- Develops and implements an appropriate procedure or treatment plan using established hospital protocols and guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care aligns with established standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience in mammography.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R)). Registry in Mammography (ARRT(M)) preferred; must complete ARRT(M) certification within 12 months of hire date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- State license as required.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
