About The Team And Position
Working on the eDiscovery Team at Carvana you will notice that… We need to be super approachable and always willing to go above and beyond to help Carvana’s Litigation Team and the entire Carvana family. It could be as simple as connecting a monitor to as complicated as tuning a flux capacitor to precisely 1.21 gigawatts! We expect smart people who are doers with bright ideas, willing to put their game-face on, take on new challenges, and juggle many assignments at once.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an eDiscovery point-of-contact with internal/external technical teams and Carvana’s in-house and outside counsel.
- Design, develop, maintain, and/or improve internal reporting regarding Carvana’s litigation portfolio and the performance of its multiple Legal Teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business workflows, data systems, and processes related to data discovery.
- Support the successful response to third-party subpoenas and consumer litigation by executing eDiscovery, document collection, and legal hold workflows.
- Collaborate in the development, documentation, and enhancement of processes to ensure adherence with legal requirements.
- Maintain database information, scripting and other custom tooling for tracking, accessing, and exporting a variety of company information systems.
- Participate in projects related to the adherence of legal and data handling programs.
- Drive data quality through continuous process improvement.
- Participate in the evaluation of legal technologies for our department.
- Perform administrative functions within our legal tool set.
Qualifications
- Education or related experience typically obtained through completion of a tech focused bachelor’s degree or working in a highly computer centric technical environment.
- Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from various systems.
- Must be well organized, self-directed, detail oriented, proactive, willing to learn, and a team player.
- Basic experience with scripting/programming.
- Ability to thoroughly document technical processes and procedures.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with ability to present to peers and co-workers.
- Understanding of data encryption and security practices associated with secure data transfer.
- Prior experience with Legal tools (Relativity or similar, Doc Management).
- Experience with MS SQL, BigQuery, Snowflake or other databases.
- Dashboard development experience.
- Scripting experience.
