Technologist Assistant - MRI
About the Role
Technologist Assistant serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered technologist. The tech assistant will perform technologist care skills that have been delegated by the supervising technologist, as well as escort/transport patients to/from nursing units and diagnostic areas safely with respect for confidentiality as assigned. Correctly identifies patients, recognizes their limitations, and obtains additional information and assistance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered technologist
- Perform technologist care skills delegated by the supervising technologist
- Escort and transport patients to and from nursing units and diagnostic areas safely
- Maintain patient confidentiality during transport and care
- Correctly identify patients and recognize their limitations
- Obtain additional information and assistance as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
