About the role

Average salary range: CAD $28.00 - $35.00 / hour
This is a mid-level position requiring at least three (3) years of commercial calibration experience.
The Calibration Technician II is responsible for calibrating higher-level equipment and calibrating equipment across a minimum of four (4) disciplines, with expert knowledge in one (1) discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate higher-level equipment across multiple disciplines with expert knowledge in one discipline
  • Work independently within the lab or at a customer location with minimal supervision
  • Follow instructions and draw lessons from feedback
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, solve problems, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Manage time and tasks efficiently using Microsoft Office software

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of commercial calibration experience
  • Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
  • Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
  • Experience working within ISO 17025 preferred

Qualifications

  • Degree from college or technical school or 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal and customer service skills
