Technician Wireless Tower Work

About the role

Discover a more connected career at VCI Construction as a Wireless Tower Technician. You will be responsible for the installation of all aspects of wireless tower site electronics and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
• Travel to and from job sites.
• All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
• Restore and repair all disturbed property.
• Able to use the following tools: Backhoe, Jack Hammer, Jumping Jack, Hole Hog, Roto Hammer, Cut-Off Saw, Portable Water Pump, Saws-All, pedestals, cables, plastic conduit, shovel, rake, sledgehammer, pipe wrench, wire cutters, bolt cutters, cable cutters, drilling shafts, etc.
• Manlift certification and/or tower climbing experience is a plus.

Requirements

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds.
• Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
• Must be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work.
• Must be able to ascend and descend ladders.
• Must be able to work in small/confined areas.
• Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear.
• Must be able to perform fiber testing, sweep testing, RET controllers.
• Must be able to work at heights

Pay

The wage range for Technician Wireless Tower Work is $18.00 - $26.00.
