Technician, Utility

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Scrubbing facility floors by use of propane-powered equipment, moving plastic bales from balers into trailers by use of lift equipment, running supplies to Operations floor including keeping pick mods stocked with corrugate, changing cardboard compactor containers, assisting operations in changing forklift batteries.
• Support Functions: Maintenance of facility property, not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc., supporting the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center, performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass the driver and safety certification.
• Experience using routine industrial hand tools.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers).
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods.

Qualifications

Previous custodial experience preferred.

A self-starter with a desire to exceed expectations.

Skills

Operates equipment like a scrubber and forklifts for most of the shift.
