Responsibilities
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures
- Participate in 5-S activities
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
- Remove / install aircraft components as required
- Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached
- Conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures
- Absorb complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft
- Absorb aircraft component repair
- Document work completed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Inspect incoming parts and documentation to meet regulatory requirements
- Absorb other maintenance disciplines – Airframe, Mechanics, and Avionics
- Operate ground support equipment as required
- Absorb mechanical / electrical removals and installations
- Provide time estimates
- Absorb other duties as assigned
- Act as shipping and receiving agent for parts
- Absorb wing removal as required
- Absorb maintenance as required
- Inspect confined areas of airframe
- May assist in designing, modifying and welding metal fixtures as required
Requirements
- Structural Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling
- Typically, a minimum of 3 years structural sheet metal & repair / modification or substantiated equivalent experience
- Typically, a minimum of 2 years’ experience on corporate jet aircraft
- Typically, a minimum of 1 year Bombardier aircraft model experience
- Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
- Ability to effectively and accurately communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status with customers at all levels
- Own Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory & control of tools
- Must be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned employees, other business areas, contractors, and customers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- The ability to obtain appropriate certification for Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
- Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA)
- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate IPad, email, Microsoft office, web-based applications
