About the role
We are looking for highly motivated, self-managed individuals to join our growing team. Our Technicians must possess knowledge in controls, electrical systems, basic I/O devices, voltage measurement devices, and general hand tools. The role encompasses an equal portion of mechanical to electrical work, requiring proficiency with electrical schematics and basic mechanical repairs. Applicants must demonstrate excellent time management skills, a professional demeanor, and a strong commitment to safety as the top priority in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with smart security lanes, conveyor systems, photo-eye and RFID readers, conveyor motors, I/O and PLC modules, and intermediate communication modules.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and testing equipment, as well as verifying operational functionality.
- Respond to downtime incidents and provide timely repairs using schematics in conjunction with physical equipment.
- Schedule equipment downtime with third parties for planned maintenance.
- Assist and coordinate with the Technical Operations Team and equipment manufacturers to resolve elevated issues.
- Properly document and manage work orders using reporting-based software.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all departments.
- Provide feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
- Perform all work safely, adhering to OSHA, state, and local regulations, and complete all assigned safety training.
- Comply with all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties or assignments as required by management.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with BHS, heavy equipment, or industrial machine maintenance and repair.
- 1+ years of schematic/diagram reading and equipment diagnostics.
- 1+ years of preventative/predictive maintenance procedures.
- Flexibility with work hours and days (24/7 operation, including holidays and on-call availability).
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must comply with the company’s Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Must be committed to working safely and promoting a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Wireman, Journeyman, or Master Electrician License (or relevant equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with peers, management, vendors, and customers.
- OSHA 10 certification.

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, handling, fingering, reaching outward, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
- Occasional sitting, reaching above shoulder, crawling, and pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of 10–20 lbs; occasional lifting/carrying of 21–50 lbs and 51–100 lbs.
- Vision requirements (near and distance).
- Regular lifting and moving of totes up to 49 pounds.
- Occasional pushing/pulling of wheeled dollies loaded up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent walking in facilities over a quarter-mile in length.
- Safe climbing of ladders and gangways without limitation.
- Ability to work in noisy, unlit, unheated, or non-air-conditioned environments.
- Continual standing/walking averaging 5 miles daily.
- Ability to access all areas of the building, including ascending/descending ladders and stairs.
Work Environment
Works in a warehouse containing moving equipment and machinery.
