Technician role, Orthotics and Prosthetics

Responsibilities

• Fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices based on patient needs and specifications submitted by practitioners.
• Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe.
• Keep lab stocked with parts and tools.
• Use mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
• Show effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
• Act with integrity and maintain patient device delivery dates and quality.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and techniques in the field.
• Deliver on time all work order requests.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with orthotic and prosthetic devices in a lab is preferred.
