About the role

The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician role at Walmart ensures the effective operation and maintenance of HVACR systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and manage workloads with external service providers to support facility operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EPA and OSHA guidelines, by following established safety and environmental procedures.
• Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and procurement to maintain resource availability.
• Compile and report budget information, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects.
• Collaborate with management and business partners to identify priorities and implement improvement opportunities.

What you'll bring

• Proven expertise in HVAC repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Valid HVAC and EPA 608 Technician certifications demonstrating compliance with industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of refrigerant handling, including inventory management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interpret and apply HVACR policies, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines effectively.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance and repair projects for HVACR equipment and systems.
• Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders to develop scopes of work and implement business solutions.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, adaptability, and maintaining high ethical standards.
