Responsibilities
- Work in the field reviewing active construction projects, walk and review completed construction projects ensuring site clean up, close out documentation is fulfilled.
- Ensure active construction work is completed to Pauley’s requirements and customer satisfaction and requirements.
- Ensure internal CORE documentation matches the completed LCS and customer requirements, verify and report to market leadership of issues or lack of documentation or compliance issues.
- Make minor field corrections to installation should issues be identified.
- Handle small materials, run small materials to field crews.
- Operate, work, and report via general computer applications.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Have a valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
- Pass a background check and company drug screening.
- Attend and pass all company required training as needed.
- Be willing to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
- May be required to work nights and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience within the Underground Utility Construction Industry.
- Problem solving skills.
- Computer skills.
- The willingness to work in a solo and team environment.
- Experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather.
- A self-starter.
- Effective communication skills.
Physical & Safety Requirements and the Working Environment
- Stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
- Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping a moderate amount of time while on shift.
- Routinely exposed to outside weather conditions which can include but is not limited to: extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet and dust as well as adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog.
- Lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.
- Exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces.
- Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed.
Pay
The hourly range for the Technician I Quality Control Field position is $18.00 - $26.00, depending on experience.
