About the role

The Pipeline Technician at Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is responsible for maintaining and operating NGL oil pipelines, pump stations, and associated equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment, as well as participating in safety reviews and emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on pumps, electric motors, gas driven turbine engines, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with the replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
  • Operate and troubleshoot terminal and pipeline assets including PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, and industrial processes.
  • Respond to operational emergencies as part of an emergency response team.
  • Monitor NGL oil receipt and delivery activities, locate pipelines, oversee excavations, and manage line crossings.
  • Install pipeline markers and conduct routine inspections on right-of-way (ROW).
  • Maintain and operate corrosion control equipment.
  • Interface with landowners and attend damage prevention meetings.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of electrical and instrumentation experience, preferably with 2 years in hazardous liquid or gas pipeline operations.
  • Knowledge of the general design and operation of liquid or gas pipelines.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry-related maintenance and repair standards.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Physical abilities to lift, push, pull, and hold equipment, as well as climb and work at various heights.
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes and potentially hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A Vo-Tech certificate or associate degree in electrical/Electronics, Oil & Gas technical field, or related work experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry-related maintenance and repair standards.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
