Starting pay: $27.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times.
- Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision, and Line Leads.
- Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
- Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
- Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks.
- Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift.
- Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events.
- Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed.
- Operates in a manner that provides value to the team.
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Advanced education and/or related certification(s) a plus.
- 0+ years of experience in the role of Maintenance Tech I.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Must meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech’s Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program.
- Completion of a two-year Maintenance Certification course.
- Stick and wire welding experience required; structural welding certification a plus.
- Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program.
- Proven experience working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Systems.
- Strong background in manufacturing systems in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC Logic technology a plus.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong decision-making, analytical skills, and proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Success in planning, executing, and managing projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
