Technician - Maintenance 2nd Shift

Description

This position is for 2nd shift 3pm - 11:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant and Safety Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) always.
• General Maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment.
• Perform a variety of work including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, painting tasks.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment, compressors, boiler and all other ancillary equipment.
• Work with other Maintenance and production employees to troubleshoot problems.
• Research, select and order parts and supplies as necessary.
• Ability to work varying shifts, times, weekends and possible emergency situations.
• All other work as deemed appropriate by Supervisor, Manager, or Lead employees.

Qualifications

• General knowledge to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Mechanical: General knowledge and troubleshooting skills for belts, drives, sheaves, chain, etc. and any other general power transmission system.
• Safety: Knowledge of safety practices within maintenance field.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand; walk; kneel on hard surfaces; use hands/fingers to handle equipment.
• Regularly required to communicate with other personnel on the production floor.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
