About the Role
This position is focused on maintaining and expanding ChemTreat’s business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts. The role requires recommending and applying basic water treatment applications and solutions, communicating program results to ChemTreat Account Managers and customers, and delivering professional, high-quality technical services. Familiarity with performing basic water testing, taking measurements, documenting results, and sharing quantitative data with customers is essential.
Responsibilities
- Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply appropriate chemical solutions and monitor effects for additional treatment.
- Perform required services as dictated by contractual obligations.
- Consistently calibrate pumps and perform repairs to restore chemical feeds.
- Monitor product feed rates and their impact on water samples, making necessary adjustments to the treatment program when gaps are detected.
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to junior technicians.
- Enter results into software programs and communicate results using service reports.
- Assist in water-related system improvement projects.
- Monitor product inventories.
- Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in water treatment, chemical, or adjacent industries.
- Technical and analytical skills, including advanced problem-solving.
- Knowledge of company product portfolio and application uses.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent.
Physical Demands
- Travel dependent on the size of assigned territory; may require long hours and varied work schedules.
- Required to walk long distances, stand, climb (including stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Constant use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects and computer keyboards.
- Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds; occasionally maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds.
- Routinely lift 50+ pound pails and carry them 100+ feet or up flights of stairs.
- Occasionally climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods.
- Drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries, which may include: eye, hearing, and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
- Occasionally work in extreme heat conditions.
- Use of ear plugs for hearing protection in high noise levels.
- Work environments include both indoor and outdoor sites, such as boiler houses, cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, or process areas.
- Routine use of hazardous chemicals.
- Collaborative working environment involving all levels within the customer organization.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 USD per year.
