Responsibilities
Perform lab testing on in-process and finished products; record and report results in order to ensure highest standards of quality are met or exceeded and in compliance with federal, state, and company specifications.
- Gathers samples for analytical testing and performs various laboratory tests on products, raw materials, ingredients and lab samples to determine if they meet necessary requirements.
- Prepares samples of products for future reference and documents results.
- Examines results of audit tests to identify problems with such things as sanitation and manufacturing processes.
- Enters laboratory data into computer system.
- Alerts management when products are out of specification.
- Responsible for reporting food safety or quality problems to management and assists in appropriate personnel.
- Examines inventory to determine what supplies need to be ordered and informs appropriate personnel.
- Trains other employees on the proper use of equipment and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Schedule
Work Schedule: 6pm - 6am rotating 12-hour shifts. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday.
