Technician IV - Shop

About the role

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician IV to join our dynamic team. Our core values of safety and people are at the heart of everything we do. This position offers competitive pay dependent on experience, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing fluids, and lubricating.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications.
• Perform novice level welding repairs using MIG and SMAW techniques.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Support your team to achieve goals and be a self-starter.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years' experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Necessary tools worth an average of $5,000+ in value.

Pay

Pay range is dependent on experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonuses.

Schedule

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime.

Location

The role is based in our shop in Monroe, LA, with occasional need to perform maintenance or repair equipment in the field.
