Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on gas and diesel engines, complex hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains to include manual and power shift transmissions on equipment and trucks
- Troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment
- Novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW)
- Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating
- Prepare/maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a background in heavy construction equipment or rental required
- Advanced experience with major & minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel and gas engines on construction equipment and delivery fleet
- Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, DEF, and EGR aftertreatment systems is highly preferred
- Extensive experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing heavy equipment repairs
- Necessary tools to perform the scope of equipment repairs
- Advanced understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods
- Diesel laptop experience is required
- Exceptional organizational skills and efficient time management techniques
- Successfully manage multiple priorities concurrently, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs

Pay
Pay Range: Starting $29-37+/hr Dependent upon Experience + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus
Schedule
Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7AM - 5PM (Overtime Eligible)
